Most residential windows can be repaired well past the point most homeowners assume they need replacement. As a rule of thumb, full window replacement starts being worth considering when the window is roughly 20 years old or older — younger than that, a glass swap, IGU replacement, or hardware fix is usually the right call.
A common search around residential windows in New Jersey is whether the state has a "window replacement program." NJ's Clean Energy Program offers rebates for whole-home energy upgrades that typically reward full window *replacement* with ENERGY STAR-rated units — not repairs. If you genuinely need full replacement we can quote ENERGY STAR-qualifying ProVia or Viwinco windows and walk you through the current rebate options. We don't pressure repair customers into replacements they don't need.
